Jubilee Pool is Bristol's first community-run swimming pool and gym, which was saved from closure in 2022 and is now run by a volunteer-lead charity. It's busy every day with people swimming for fitness and sport, with adults and school groups learning to swim, with dedicated accessible sessions, and with inflatable parties too.

To be able to do all this the charity needs to raise money, and that's why I'm running the London Marathon 2025 and why I need your support!

I'm Drew, and Jubilee Pool sits right here in my local neighbourhood. I'm a keen runner having taken up running seriously about 11 years ago. I've run road marathons twice before, in 2016 and 2018 (both when I was still in my 30s!) and although I run a lot, training to run the 26.2 miles of a marathon does still pose a significant challenge requiring months of dedication and training.

In 2024 I trained to become an England Athletics Coach in Running Fitness, so hopefully I can apply all I've learned to my own training plan!

You might know me from one of the clubs I run with: Southville Running Club and South Bristol Striders, or maybe from training alongside me at Valesco Fitness.

Please help me to support this very important cause in my local community by contributing what you can today.
