Laura’s Fundraiser for the Tomorrow Project
My name is Laura, and I’m a Clinical Support Worker for Harmless and The Tomorrow Project.
I have been selected to carry the Queen’s Baton for a section of the Queen’s Baton Relay, in the lead-up to the 2022 Commonwealth Games! I was nominated by Harmless, in recognition of the work that I do for The Tomorrow Project’s suicide crisis pathway.
Nothing that I do for my job is on merit alone; there’s always a team of friends and colleagues sharing their wealth of knowledge, expertise, and encouragement alongside me, and I for them. The gratitude that I feel to represent our teams and our service in this way is just unbelievable. It is a honour.
I want to use this opportunity of a lifetime to do something meaningful for the whole service, so we can ultimately keep doing what we do best: save lives.
I’m hoping to raise £600 for The Tomorrow Project - with each crisis session costing us £25, £600 will enable our team to support two people in suicide crisis.
Thank you so much for any support you can show! And thank you to my Harmless family for being my biggest cheerleaders 💙

More information about the Tomorrow Project:
The Tomorrow Project is a suicide prevention initiative run by Harmless, the National Centre of Excellence for Self Harm and Suicide Prevention. Based in Nottingham, The Tomorrow Project consists of two distinct pathways: one providing support to those in suicide crisis, and the other supporting those bereaved by suicide.
Harmless and The Tomorrow Project are generously commissioned by various funding partners, but after our referrals increased by 200% during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are relying on donations now more than ever. With the effects of the pandemic still lasting amongst those most vulnerable, and with the additional cost of living crisis on top of that, we are expecting to continue seeing this increased demand for quite some time. So donations are so important, now more than ever.
Well done Laura :)
Thank you Laura for all of the work that you and your colleagues do and huge congratulations on being chosen to carry the Commonwealth Baton in July. Lots of love, Dad. XxX
