On 2nd June 2024 Leonie is attempting to complete the challenging 8.5mile course to raise money for You're Cherished.
Leonie will have just turned 7 a few days before and this will be a big challenge for her, but she is determined to raise money for this charity which is close to her heart.
Leonie says she wants to raise money for Cherished because it helps support children to 'feel happy, confident and be themselves'.
You're Cherished is a Sutton Coldfield charity which supports children and young people across Birmingham to feel Safe, Seen, Soothed and Secure. The work they complete includes 1:1 mentoring, in school support, groups and workshops, as well as training for parents and professionals.
Their vision is to ensure that all of the children who they support feel safe, loved, and accepted for who they are. The charity offers a safe space through kindness, compassion and connection where children can recognise their worth and know that they are Cherished and Able.
