Lisa Cole, who died on Thursday 13th May 2021, was a force to be reckoned with. Anyone who knew her could attest to her generosity, her fierceness, loyalty, wit and refusal to let unjust things lie. Her favourite C word shocked some and amused others, but really it spoke to the power of her conviction that women (yes, all women) deserve to be protected and cared for and believed. Lisa was a brilliant mother who advocated for her beautiful children, Mabel and Archie, throughout their lives, even when unwell. She had many, many friends and family who adore her (we can’t put that it the past tense because our love for her lives on). Instead of flowers, we are asking that if you feel inclined to do something in Lisa’s memory, please support the Anawim charity, which does incredible work helping vulnerable women, by donating below. Lisa told some of us about how much she respected their work and it seems only fitting that her legacy champions other women too.
