In August 2024 we had the most unexpected event that turned our world upside-down. I lost my beloved husband Nigel Burman and our boys lost their incredible dad. This has been a soul destroying event for us, as it was an unforeseen and unexpected brain aneurysm that took him from us. Riding from John o'Groats to Lands End was something we agreed we'd do this year - well I was going to do and Nigel was going to be my support throughout the journey. When I first suggested it, after purchasing an e-Gravel last May, I was met with his typical pragmatic response "Are you crazy woman?". The answer to this is still, "Yes, I am."

Almost one year on and I am cycling the length of the UK in his memory and to raise funds for the HBA. Brain aneurysms are a life altering event, when survived and until we lost Nigel we knew very little about it. I hope you can support this cause and the incredible work HBA does to raise awareness and support families affected by brain aneurysm, and those with a hereditary link
