Bath Share and Repair are an amazing local community charity that aims to reduce as much carbon as possible and fight climate change by repairing items that would have otherwise gone to landfill, preventing the release of more C02 into the atmosphere because a new item would have to replace it.

Another thing Bath Share and Repair does is to encourage the sharing of items, for example in their 'Library of Things' where you can hire for a short time (e.g. an electric drill) instead of needing to buy one.

I have been volunteering with High Littleton repair cafe since our first one in Feb 2020 and regularly donate my Saturday mornings to repair items for the community that local villagers need help with. It's a great feeling to fix someone's favourite TV for free and save them a lot of money from having to buy a new one. It's also a great feeling of accomplishment to solve a complicated puzzle, finding the problem, and then a successful fix!! :)

You may know me as an accomplished runner, however 6 years ago I contracted an illness that pretty much ended my running career overnight. I lost over 80% of my ability.

I haven’t been able to run a Half Marathon in 6 years, so running Bath Half for Bath Share and Repair is a MASSIVE challenge for me; think 100 mile ultra marathon(!!).

Your support will keep me going and inspired when the going gets tough, and together I hope to be able to accomplish the toughest challenge for myself in 6 years, together with raising awareness and funds for an amazing charity that is helping as all towards a greener future.
