On the 13th September I will be facing one of my biggest fears 'heights' and jumping from a plane to raise money for a wonderful charity which is really close to my heart. I would like to raise £4000, please help me reach my goal.

Parenting Special Children are a local non-profit charity who bring lived experience and professional knowledge to offer specialist information, expert advice and a compassionate listening ear to families in Berkshire. Without this charity, families would struggle to navigate the SEND system and without their support and specialist knowledge children would not get the support they need.

Here is a little bit more about the charity:

Parenting Special Children was founded in 2006 by Ruth Pearse, CEO & founder and parent of neurodivergent children. The charity was set up to help other parents/carers navigate the world of SEND at a time when there was little known support for families.

Since then, PSC has grown steadily from one person to a team of over 40 with a wide range of specialist knowledge and lived experience who offer a variety of services to over 2500 families each year.

At PSC, 90% of us are parents & carers of neurodivergent children & young people, children with SEND or early life trauma and/or are neurodivergent ourselves.

Parenting Special Children empowers families whose children/young people are neurodivergent and/or have special needs and/or disabilities including early life trauma. We support families, children/young people and professionals directly via a wide range of specialist services. We hold our families, ensuring no one feels alone in their journey, ‘Prevention before Crisis’.
