This Ramadan, we are partnering with Slough Refugee Support to provide essential food parcels to refugee and asylum-seeking families in our local community.
For many of these families, Ramadan can be an especially difficult time. With limited or no access to public funds, rising food costs, and the pressures of daily survival, putting a nourishing meal on the table can be a real struggle — particularly during a month centred on reflection, patience, and generosity.
Our goal this year is to support 60 families with carefully prepared food parcels containing staple items that can help sustain households throughout the month. Each parcel is designed to feed a family for several days and includes essentials such as rice, flour, lentils, oil, tinned goods, dates, and other culturally appropriate foods.
We are aiming to raise £2,500, which will go directly towards:
Purchasing food in bulk to maximise impact
Assembling and distributing parcels locally through Slough Refugee Support
Ensuring dignity, care, and fairness in how support is delivered
Every donation — no matter the amount — will make a real difference. Whether it helps feed one family or contributes to the wider effort, your generosity will be felt directly by those who need it most.
Ramadan is a month of compassion, community, and giving. If you’re able to donate, share, or keep this cause in your du’as, we would be incredibly grateful.
Thank you for helping us turn collective generosity into meaningful action this Ramadan 🌙✨
