Team Fundraisers
Reform Radio are an online radio station and production company using the engagement of music and the arts to work with young people looking for employment. www.reformradio.co.uk We're doing this challenge in loving memory of Steve Tanswell, who did so much fundraising and profile work for Riff Raff. He also used to brag that he was wholly responsible for the success of Reform Radio and he was kind of right. He not only supported us in the early days with work but turned a blind eye to us doing Reform bits on his time. He was always there with his trademark no-nonsense advice and made some key introductions that have served us to this day, including to Steve Price from BWP Inspire. For these and all the good times us, and the organisation, will forever be grateful.
It's so nice we can get together as an organisation and raise funds for a cause that meant so much to him and Jo. Also, we've been looking for activities to do with our staff that doesn't involve loads of booze so this felt like the perfect solution!
We have organised our Great Wall of China 2022 challenge - It's 4366 miles to cross the Great Wall East to West and back againWe're making the journey as a team relay, virtually, using Strava. We can cycle, swim, run or walk - basically any exercise that covers distance. We are in a race against some stiff competition – the first to cover the distance, wins!We are raising funds for The Riff Raff Society, an association that distributes much needed funds to people facing incredibly challenging situations within Greater Manchester
