Being isolated during the corona virus pandemic is difficult for all of us but for the student artists that usually attend Rowan it is going to be even more difficult, in fact every aspect of normal daily life is already more challenging for most of them. I realised that ‘lockdown’ and self isolation for them wasn't going to be just 3 weeks so I wanted to do something to raise awareness of people with learning disabilities and to help raise funds for Rowan so they can continue to support them and help reduce the risks of loneliness during COVID-19. I arrived at the inspiration for my  JOGLE  – Cycling from John o’ Groats to Lands End  – as Cambridge is the city of bicycles and being fortunate enough to have an exercise bike in our collection of bicycles I have no excuse!  Even with a virtual bike ride you need your support team and my friend, Mary, is ‘travelling’ with me.  She’ll be researching the route, finding interesting points along the way to share with you all and putting together my JOGLE diary and I hope you will join us too keeping up to date via Rowans facebook page and weekly “Feel Good Friday” updates. For Rowan to survive the pandemic and continue supporting the wonderful student artists is going to be a real financial challenge so please join Mary and I on our journey, and if you can please do donate to Rowan so they can continue to support all the vulnerable student artists and their families, through this crisis and beyond. Thank you, Rosalind Chair of Trustees, Rowan Humberstone.
