This Christmas, the Royal Docks Team are fundraising for the food bank at St Johns Community Centre (North Woolwich) and the Community Food Pantry at West Silvertown Foundation in the Royal Docks - both central hubs for the local community.
We'd like to also invite our colleagues, partners and friends to donate what they can to these amazing organisations.
As the temperature drops, individuals and families must make the difficult decision of heating their homes or eating.
Both organisations provide a vital service for the most vulnerable residents who are struggling to get food on the table, and providing warm and welcoming activities and services to ensure that communities are supported in times of isolation and challenge.
Unfortunately both organisations have experienced financial hardship over the last year, with various income streams being cut, but like many community organisations they work tirelessly to make sure they are there for communities every single week.
We'd also like to show our appreciation to the many volunteers and hard-working staff members that keep this going - so please leave a message of support!
