I will be swimming in the late hours of Saturday 29th January up to midnight as part of a 24 hour Swimathon raising money to save Jubilee swimming pool from closure.

I've been using Jubilee pool and gym for over 10 years now and can't ever imagine it not being there. It was a godsend to me when recovering from knee replacement surgery and a great way to soothe aching joints.

I consider it a massive asset to the community catering for all generations and is busy from 7 in the morning till 10 at night.

The current position of Jubilee

For 85 years Jubilee Pool in Knowle, Bristol has been a vital leisure facility for its local community.  

Now the swimming pool is under serious threat from closure by Bristol City Council in March this year. 

The Friends of Jubilee Pool are a group of volunteers committed to saving the pool by bringing it into community ownership and ensuring it remains a hub for locals to continue swimming, gyming, meeting and socialising for future generations to come.
