The Friends of Jubilee Pool have organised a 24 hour Jubilee-athon to swim the distance from Jubilee Pool in Knowle (Bristol) to Buckingham Palace (it's the Queen's Jubilee year 😁) non stop from 12pm Saturday 29th January to 12pm Sunday 30th January. I have been lucky enough to get the 1am slot, and as most of you will know I'm not any kind of night owl or dolphin in this case so it's going to be a challenge.
This has been my local swimming pool for decades and is once again threatened with closure, so the local community is doing all it can to save this beautiful, historic community asset.
Please help us achieve our goal and raise money to support @save_jubilee_pool mission to secure the future of this amazing swimming pool by either joining the challenge or sponsoring me. I'll be swimming the 1am-2am slot and maybe even the 3am-4am one.
