Team Fundraisers
On 4th October 2020 South London Scouts Scouts and leaders from 8th Lambeth Scout Group, will be completing the 26.2 mile Virtual “Scouting” London Marathon 2020. They are raising money for a local charity The Upper Room.
The Upper Room work with socially disadvantaged people to improve their lives and conditions, across London. Their work has a positive, life-enhancing impact, and benefits people by improving their self-esteem and health, and enabling them to become economically independent.
As many of our South London Scouts have been on lockdown for several months this will be the first major outdoor activity many of the Scouts will be doing. As such it represents a considerable challenge both physically and mentally for the Scouts, and will be a huge achievement.
If you see the group (who will be wearing South London Scouts colours) along the route on Sunday please do give them a cheer!
