In Spring 2023, with the support of Sharrow Vale Community Association, a local resident raised funds for 7 new street trees on Sharrow Vale Road and Steel Road.

Now, Sharrow Vale Post Office is coordinating efforts to raise funds for 20 further street trees on Sharrow Vale Road. Nether Edge and Sharrow Sustainable Transformation (NESST) is 50% funding at least 4 trees, hopefully more. And Sharrow Vale Community Association has already donated £750, guaranteeing at least 2 trees.

We therefore need to raise £6500 more, which will allow us to plant up to 20 trees in winter 2025/2026.
