Having lived and worked in & around Leamington Spa for nearly 20 years I wanted to use my birthday month this year to help raise awareness of vulnerable women in our society by putting myself in their shoes for one night by sleeping rough.

Yes that's right, I'll be sleeping outdoors in the centre of Leamington Spa for the first of a series of 10 nights.

This is definitely out of my own comfort zone as I've never even camped before!

As a local business owner & The Chair of Leamington BID I want to lend my support to a wonderful local lady, Lianne Kirkman, who runs The Esther Project which helps homeless and vulnerable women in my area to get back on their feet with the support they need as sleeping rough is the symptom, of a whole host of issues that get addressed in a professional yet compassionate way. Lianne will be sleeping rough for 10 nights in different locations throughout England to raise awareness and highlighting some amazing work some charities are doing up and down the country in this area of need.
