Steve Reynolds is Running for Amber

I am running the Southampton Half Marathon to raise funds for Amber Chaplains.  Amber is a Christian  chaplaincy service promoting women's health and wellbeing in Southampton. 

Amber chaplains walk alongside those selling sex on the streets, women working in parlours and women performing in strip-clubs.  They offer a confidential listening ear to those with faith or without faith. 

Women selling sex on the streets are some of the most marginalised and vulnerable in Southampton.   They are often victims of domestic abuse and subject to violence and assault.  Amber runs a vital regular outreach service to these women, providing access to a warm confidential space on their outreach van with health essentials, hot drinks and a chat with trained staff and volunteers.
