In June 2025, I will be cycling 1000 miles from Lands to John O'Groats in support of a local charity Young People First in Warwick.

Young People First provides support to some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people living in Warwickshire. Their vision is to inspire young people to reach their fullest potential and support them in overcoming the personal barriers preventing them from achieving.

Young People First spend time working in schools delivering mentoring, group work and reactive support for young people who may be struggling to access education. They deliver weekly youth clubs that are open to all, providing positive activities and good food for young people. They are also delivering detached youth work which is taking the youth workers out to where they young people are rather than expecting them to come to us, this way they can engage with and support some of the most vulnerable young people. They work closely with the families of our young people too, supporting them in many different ways, and signposting to further help where needed. They believe that this combination of support will have the most impact on the young people we support.
