WE:ARE Women`s Empowerment and Recovery EducatorsWE:ARE Women’s Empowerment and Recovery Educators provide a safe and supportive environment to women who have survived domestic abuse and require support to overcome the effects of their experiences.
Through their programmes they are able to rebuild relationships with themselves and their children, changing the toxic environment they've been used to into safe homes, safe hearts and safe minds. We support women to rise, reclaim and recover.
They are a small charity in South Birmingham providing a safe & supportive environment to women who have survived domestic abuse & require support to overcome the effects of their experiences who receive no Government funding or local authority funding and rely on applying for bids to trusts and the national lottery. They have delivered awareness & empowerment programmes for 19 years such as:
11week Freedom Programme,
12week Own My Life,
10week You & Me, Mum
to rebuilding relationships with ourselves and our children after domestic abuse.
Safe homes, safe hearts and safe minds.
From Leaving to Healing - Rise Reclaim RecoverAnd with the increased demand over lockdown these guys are incredible and I have had the opportunity to witness the amazing work and support they offer and do with some inspirational women, and by taking on the challenge to run 26.6 miles on 3rd October 2021is a small life challenge compared to what these women have been through physically and emotionally.
