At the domestic abuse refuge in Milton Keynes, we provide vital safety and support to women and children escaping unsafe homes. For many, the first steps into our counselling rooms mark the beginning of their journey towards safety and a new start.

These two small rooms are where:

• Families first arrive after leaving everything behind

• Women and children receive counselling to process trauma

• Police and social workers meet with survivors to provide vital support

But after many years of use, these spaces are in urgent need of refurbishment. Right now, they do not reflect the safe, comforting environment we want to offer to families in crisis.

Our goal is to transform these rooms into welcoming, calming spaces – a soft landing after the hardest of journeys.

To do this, we need your help.

We are raising funds to provide:

• 6 comfy chairs

• Coffee tables

• On wall foldable desks

• Storage / toy box

• Soft furnishings and décor to create warmth and comfort
