Theatr Wildcats is an inclusive theatre company. We create original performances using our own experiences and self advocacy. Our company meets once a week to rehearse at Theatr Brycheiniog in Brecon. The pieces we create use drama, dance, music and film to make our shows accessible for all. We have taken past performances to Brecon jazz Festival, Cardiff, Newtown, Builth Wells, Hay-on-wye and to local High schools.
Our next performance 'How to be Happy' was due to take place in April 2020, however, as with everything it has had to be postponed to 2021. This means when we are able to get together again and rehearse it will take a few extra months to bring the show back to the slick and professional performance we achieved prior to lockdown.
Lockdown has not stopped us creating! We have been busy learning to film and moving online. In 2020 we put on an interactive online murder mystery to raise funds for the Sharon Wieland Memorial Bench. We also filmed our very own pantomime to spread some Christmas cheer, available on youtube:
