Last year I undertook the 100km Thames Path Challenge walking from Putney to Henley down the Thames Path - unfortunately after the 50km I had to retire.  I wanted to complete that jouney this year, but with COVID-19 it wont be an option.

This year, I am competing in the Tour of Britain ... at home.  I will cycle the 1250km across the UK on my  exercise bike taking in the exotic sights of my back garden (from the conservatory on wet days and outside in the fresh air for the rest of the time) which I will look to complete by the end of the summer or COVID-19 release.

If anyone would like to join me they are more than welcome and I will be recording my "route" and progress as we go.

I have chosen Parenting Special Children again as my charity of choice. https://www.parentingspecialchildren.co.uk/ Parenting Special Children provide vital services for parents of children with autism, ADHD and sensory challenges in the Berkshire region and working with the NHS have worked out a method to deliver supporting workhops and hotline for parents during this time.  As many parents are now home-schooling the challenge of routine, behaviour and nuturing the amazing talent that every child has is a tough role.   I am hoping to raise money to help PSC to continue with their vital work virtually and to maintain and be the sustainable charity they have become.  I have worked with PSC for over 18 months as one of their trustees and they have also helped us with workshops and support when we needed it.  Last year alone 2581 families were helped at least once, an increas of 61% year on year and 44% of these families accessed more than one service showing the need for Parenting Special Children from both an education, local authority and CAMHS perspective.

Working for Microsoft they will match fund up to $10k!  It would be amazing to raise that money to support their work
