On the 8th of March, International Women’s Day, the Ustinov College Knitting and Crochet Society will be holding a Knit-A-Thon from 8am to 8pm at The Paddle Seminar Room.

A group of volunteers will knit and crochet for twelve hours, and in that time make a blanket and raise money which will be sent to the Newcastle Women's Aid. Newcastle Women’s Aid is a charity run by women for women. They provide free, specialist advice and support for women and girls in Newcastle and the North East who are affected by domestic abuse.
