I'm taking part in the Jubilee-athon 2024 - 24 Hour Sponsored Swim for Jubilee Pool in Knowle, South Bristol (5-6 October).

Everyone taking part is on a mission to collectively swim the distance from Jubilee Pool in Bristol to the Aquatics Centre in Paris, built for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Along the way we aim to raise £100,000 towards our roof repairs and energy efficiency measures to improve the pool and gym.

Over 24 hours we'll try and swim continuously - with at least one person in the water at all times - with each person swimming for one hour.

The Friends of Jubilee Pool group are a band of passionate, diverse, driven and committed volunteers. By successfully fighting against the closure of Jubilee Pool and bringing it into community ownership, they aim to restore it as a hub for locals to continue swimming, gyming, meeting and socialising for future generations to come.

Working together we will help Jubilee Pool survive, and thrive.
