St Albans City Youth FC Inclusive section have been established for over 17 years. We provide football training, matches and special events for over 100 players with a disability or additional needs - youth and adult.
We need to raise funds continuously to be able to provide the support necessary to ensure the football offerings are the best they can be for our inclusive players.
We also support individual players where we can, when they are selected for opportunities, such as playing for their country. Sam Goldney, one of our adult players has been selected to play for Special Olympics GB at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin, June 2023 and we are going to support Sam with this amazing opportunity to enable him to take part.
The inclusive section has chosen to virtually walk to Berlin to raise funds to support both Sam and the inclusive section.
Each player will send us evidence of the distance they have walked and submit it to the total to try to reach the 1000+ km total together - a virtual walk to Berlin from St Albans. We will also arrange some group walks.
We will keep you updated via our twitter and insta - @SACYInclusive
