April 2nd is National Walking Day and to celebrate this we’re inviting people to get out into nature and walk to raise funds for Grow!
How does it work?
Grab a friend or two, work colleague, staff team, your dog, or just your hat and scarf
Pick a section of the South Downs Way that you know and love, or one that you’ve never walked before
Commit to walking it sometime between Friday 29th March and Monday 7th April
Register your intention do so with us and either make a donation to Grow on a Pay-As-You-Feel basis (suggested minimum donation £10) or challenge yourself to raise some sponsorship money.
It’s a Win-Win situation – you get all the lovely wellbeing benefits of getting out and about on our beautiful South Downs Way, and we get your support to raise some much needed funds for Grow so that we can continue to run our services connecting people with nature all throughout the year.
Once you’ve registered we will provide you with a pack that will contain some suggested walking routes, safety considerations and some suggestions of nature connection exercises you might like to do en route. We’ll also send you some information about how to set up your own fundraising page that links to this one if you'd like to get sponsors.
