This charity speaks for itself!
It takes the sad loss of children to discover we can do more to protect our children and others from undiagnosed heart conditions. It’s a sad reality that children are dying from cardiac arrest through unknown underlying heart conditions. Just read Charlotte and Craig's story.
One simple solution is to have a defibrillator at arms reach when you really need one. The use of a defibrillator within seconds of a cardiac arrest can dramatically increase the chance of survival.
Being in the emergency services I see these devices slowly popping up in our community. But we need more, a lot more! This is a very basic piece of kit which requires no training to use. But as always, money is the key factor preventing every street having one.
Saving hearts foundation is increasing access to defibs within our community. At specific places where there are high volumes of children. They have provided every school in the Redditch area. If you have children, think! Donate to allow more of these devices to be bought and maintained in our community.
