Yes we are at it again, taking on a challenge to help raise vital funds for essential repairs to our beloved Grade 2 listed building in the Old Town of Scarborough, and of course for our amazing Sea Cadets, only this time it’s much closer to home.... On Sunday 15th October a dedicated bunch of Sea Cadet staff, volunteers and even a few cadets will be running in the Yorkshire Coast 10K. There are 18 of us all together, we will be wearing bright orange t-shirts, bucket hats and big smiles as we take on the famous route from the Spa to the Sea Life Centre, back along the Marine Drive and Foreshore to triumphantly finish back at the Spa!! TS Scarborough (Training Ship Scarborough) provides local children and young people with learning far beyond the school curriculum. With a wealth of opportunities and activities, both on and off the water, our cadets are building life skills, inspiring confidence, loyalty, friendship, self-respect and a sense of achievement in a safe, supportive environment. We are so proud of our Cadets and their dedication to the town of Scarborough, to other organisations like the RNLI and Royal British Legion, and not least to themselves and each other – we hope you are too.
