Acholi Day is a day for celebrating Acholi culture. There will be fashion shows, drama, music and dance, storytelling, talks on Acholi history and African food and drink. There will be plenty of opportunities for both children and adults to participate in the interactive part of the programme including traditional dance challenges and trying out some Acholi activities.

This is a popular, community and cultural event which is entertaining, educational and informative to all, whether of African origin or not.

A fun, entertaining and informative day for the whole community to learn about and celebrate this rich and diverse culture. For many refugees who haven't returned home and their children, the day helps them to reconnect to their roots.
