Team Fundraisers

Our drop in service offers a safe space, advice and support re housing, health and emotional issues with staff available - a breakfast club, meeting rooms and an activity space. Activities are chosen by members and offer opportunities to learn and build skills, towards employment, give understanding and increase knowledge of healthy living, - groups include catering, zumba, gardening, music, cricket, IT, dance, boccia, football, golf, photography and current affairs.

Why they need our service

Used by over 100 people with disabilities, our drop in - open Mon -Fri 10-4.30 provides a vital point of contact for vulnerable people in K&C. A safe space, opportunity to meet friends, have breakfast,,or drink, seek advice, guidance, support with correspondence and health issues, preventing crises developing. A wide variety of activities build skills and confidence providing a launching point for participation in community life.

Plan and expected results

People will gain in confidence, build friendships and relationships, manage living in the community, accessing support as they need it, stay safe, highlight and challenge any potential abuse, harassment or hate-crime and people will move into paid employment. Individuals will participate more in the life of the wider community, initially with staff support, becoming more independent - as they live the life they choose.
