Bonny Downs After School Club Barefoot Challenge!

On Wednesday 9 June, the children who attend our After School Club will walk barefoot around Flanders Field in East Ham, to raise money for our food bank and families who are struggling due to the pandemic.

100 years ago, it was sadly common to see children running barefoot around the fields of Bonny Downs, hungry and without adequate clothing. Sadly, the pandemic has shown that some of challenges we faced 100 years ago still exist today - and it’s made them even worse. In the eight years that we've been running the food bank at Bonny Downs, we've never seen such demand for food and too many families are in urgent need of clothing and bedding for their children.

If you are in a position do so, please would you sponsor us? No donation is too small! Every pound will make a difference to a struggling family right now. For example, £15 could buy a new pair of shoes for a child living in poverty, or provide an emergency food parcel for a hungry small family.
