We would very much like our special day to have a lasting legacy that each of us can contribute to and feel proud of.
Birmingham & Solihull Women's Aid want to build a playroom at their new refuge to provide a space for the children staying in the refuge to play safely and spend some time away from mum who for obvious reasons may need space to deal with, and receive support to manage, the difficulties associated with domestic violence, abuse or other problems experienced in the family home.
We would very much like to provide the funds to provide the much needed toys and equipment for the children to use and play with when this playroom is built.
We would feel very proud and honoured if our wedding was in some way a catalyst for this wonderful playroom to be filled with toys and games and that the legacy of the day, apart from our long and happy marriage, would be that children can play safely and happily in a space that we all helped create together.
