Jade Recruitment - Freewheelers Theatre
Physical Challenge
Me and my colleague Jess are running a half marathon for Freewheelers Theatre Charity in October. Please help us donate to this amazing charity which helps people with disabilities with support for their artistic learning and theatre production. Here is a little below about freewheelers and the amazing work their staff and members do.
Freewheelers Website
Who Are Freewheelers
For over thirty years they have been a force for change and artistic excellence in the world of Disability Arts.
With locations across Surrey, they make theatre, dance, film, music and visual art that challenges perceptions and defies expectations.
What They Do
Their person-centred, creative process and the friendly, communal Freewheelers atmosphere creates an environment where our members’ confidence, independence, social skills and self expression can thrive.
Every week is packed with creative workshops where members come together to share their creative talents, learn new skills and work towards a new performance, film or piece of art.
Freewheelers is a home from home for many of their members (some of whom have been with them for almost three decades!)
A day with the Freewheelers is a chance to meet friends, chat, laugh, have fun and be yourself.
● Improving their physical fitness and co-ordination through dance and movement
● Learning how to work as part of a team
● Developing social skills and making friends
● Gaining independence and confidence
