OK lovely people my mum has me running the Surrey half marathon on the 8th of March (which was decided a week ago) which might just kill me as totally under trained!!!!!!!!
While my Step dad is mayor of Basingstoke and Deane he has to raise money for local charity's. One of his chosen charity's is the Basingstoke Young Carers. I have been luck enough to spend time with them, and see all the amazing work they do with these incredible children, who need support and time out to be children away from there challenging lives at home. These children help to support their parents who are sick maybe disabled and become adults far quicker then most kids. This charity gives them the chance to meet up talk, and play with other children that are going through the same challenges, and gain the help and support they need.
The Basingstoke Young Carers relies on funding and volunteers and I want to take the opportunity to raise awareness, and to help in a small way so they can continue their amazing work.
Please support me and I promise to train hard and run as fast as I can and make every £1 count.
