Hello!
Thank you so much for visiting my page.
In not too long I’ll be back at the London Aquatics Centre to take part in Marathon Swims 2024. It’s a 10km swim (which has been equated to running a marathon) in the pool of all pools! It’s such a fab event I’m going back for the third time.
This year I am swimming to raise money for HomeStart Wokingham, an amazing charity that has helped us recently when we became a family of five.
Jennie, our volunteer, came once a week over a period of six months, for a couple of hours to give us a helping hand. She helped out around the house, held sleeping babies, came food shopping with me (surprisingly difficult with two babies and only single trolleys!) and gave a listening ear over a cuppa.
HomeStart help a wide range of families; having twins is just one many reasons they offer support.
This the official line… "We provide compassionate and non-judgmental support in the families’ homes, offering emotional and practical support, encouragement and guidance. Through weekly visits, we provide a listening ear and a hand to hold, building relationships based on trust and friendship. Our team of volunteers work alongside parents to help give their children a better start in life."
Please donate if you can, no matter how much. Their help has been invaluable to us as a family and whatever we can raise will enable other families to benefit too.
