I have decided to put on my big girl pants and abseil 220ft down Canonteign Falls in support of Jeremiah's Journey! Why now? Why Jeremiah's? Jeremiah's Journey are a charity which supports children and young people through bereavement. Myself and the children became involved with them after Rob died and they were a massive, massive support to us. We had someone visit us at home over several weeks, to chat, get to know us, give advice and just to be there really at a time when we felt so isolated and alone. We were then invited to workshops and groups where we met others going through the same grief; this in itself was incredibly useful for the children who really believed they were only ones who didn't have their Daddy anymore. We are still invited to JJ events and we often go; their support seems endless! Why now? Well, 3 years and 5 months after he died, I am finally beginning to feel like myself. I feel like I'd like to do a small thing to help them in a small way... ...and the idea of abseiling down a waterfall sounds awesome! Please support me, it would mean the world to me and also to all the families that JJ helps every day. Thanks
