So myself and motley crew of around 15 others who are all associated with St Werburghs City Farm through the powerful medium of peer pressure have been talked into running the Bristol 10k in order to raise much needed funds for the farm.
For those of you that don't know, as well as running an community farm which is open everyday and free to visit we also work within the community offering opportunities for people with learning difficulties, mental health issues, young people at risk of exclusion, in care, young carers, etc, and a whole load of other folk too.
The reason you should sponsor us is that although you may think that 10k is not that far, for the majority of us a sprint to the Miners Arms at 5pm on a Friday afternoon to be first at the bar is about the extent of our sporting prowess.. so I can honestly assure you that it will not be a walk in the park.. So, please (imagine a tiny violin playing a sad song...) throw us sorry bunch a few quid and if you fancy a laugh come along and cheer us along on Saturday..
We'll be the ones looking like Phoebe (from friends) in that infamous jogging episode...
