My story Hi, thanks for visiting my page,I’m so proud and honoured to be running the London Marathon in October 2022 for JUMP Children’s Charity. It'll be three and a half years in the making, thanks to good old rona, but I am determined to run this for the most amazing JUMP!JUMP supports children with life threatening health conditions, enabling them to make unique memories with their loved ones and have them captured in photo or film. A memory provided by JUMP provides positive support during challenging times and serves to be a lasting memory for all members of the family to cherish.A complete Memory Package costs £350 for each child each time a memory is requested. This involves the staff support through photography and the production of each Memory Book and DVD. I would love to raise enough to support so many more families.Entering their 16th year, JUMP is supporting more children than ever before, as such, they really need more funding to be able to carry out their vital work, this is why I've chosen to take on the London Marathon to support their cause! JUMP Children’s Charity has a proud history. Their roots, a little boy named Jacob Hawthorn, born in June 2000, was diagnosed with congenital muscular dystrophy. With no cure for his illness, Jacob’s family were determined to ensure they would capture their remaining time together. Jacob sadly passed in February 2004, his photographs and films taken by his loving family have become an ever lasting tribute. In memory of Jacob, JUMP was established and registered in 2004. Any donation, no matter how much, is truly appreciated by me and all of the JUMP team but especially the families who are affected by such tragic circumstances, so thank you for your donations and your support, it means the world (& after training through THREE winters) I’m going to need every bit of support I can get!Love, Leanne x
