I am a 48 year old woman and work as a practice observer for Plymouth University. I became aware of the work of Hamoaze House when I visited to observe social work students in practice. I am always inspired to see people making positive changes to their lives so when I was offered a place to run the London Marathon, Hamoaze House became my choice of charity to fund raise for.

Why they need our service

The topic of drug and alcohol misuse and the hidden harm experienced by young people is often a taboo subject and is rarely an attractive cause to those seeking a charity to support. Hamoaze House offers a safe, calm place to help people rebuild their lives with new skills and coping mechanisms. What's even more inspirational is that they also offer support, counselling and security for not only the service user but their friends and family also.

Plan and expected results

With public sector purses shrinking Hamoaze House is increasingly reliant on grant funding and donations. Your donatation can help to ensure that Hamoaze House continues to provide this holistic service to the people of Plymouth and beyond.
