I am not a runner, and never have been. So I am a little startled to find that I currently own three pairs of trainers (from a proper running shop), and a sports bra, and can keep moving for just over four and a half hours. It's taken eighteen months to get here from my sofa.
I am doing the London marathon, just once, because I wanted to take part in that wonderful event with thousands of people in an amazing city. I was lucky enough to get in on the ballot the first time so don't have to fundraise to take part. (SO sorry proper runners who've been trying for years).
But when I told people what I was doing, the first thing many said was, "who are you raising money for? I'll give something." So I have set this up to finally have a good answer for all of you who offered (or even insisted).
I've asked people to choose either the RAF Association, or Home-Start Horizons (Loughborough, Melton, Rutland and Leicester). Thank you so much for your generosity and support, and for putting up with me becoming a running bore.
