AsYouAre provides affordable and accessible counselling and group work to people living in Brighton, Hove, Portslade, Southwick, Shoreham, Lancing and Worthing.
It provides a space for people to explore difficulties and the opportunity to work through painful experiences in a safe, private and confidential environment.
As You Are is a registered charity (1147468) and provides a professional service to both adults and children with fees operating on a sliding scale from £6 to £35 per session. The service depends on donations, if you can, please send us a donation.
Counsellors at As You Are have been working effectively with both adults and children on a huge range of issues. We offer a safe and professional service which allows time for the client and counsellor to develop a trusting relationship where they can work on difficult and complex issues. It costs over £1000 for each client to access the full 24 sessions and we welcome contributions towards the cost for people on restrictive incomes. Your donations can help with service provision or you could pledge something for a specific branch of our service.
For example:
•£144 would pay for someone on restricted income to attend 24 sessions of counselling
•£36 would pay for an adult survivor of childhood abuse and neglect to attend one of our second chance survivors groups
•£36 would allow someone to attend our Positive Direction Course and make positive and lasting changes in helping adults back to work or education
•£144 would allow local men fighting depression to access the service for full 24 sessions
