Two one hour sessions of therapy every week with 6 children in each group, run by two fully qualified dramatherapists, plus sometimes a trainee therapy student. Carefully planned sessions are routinely evaluated, and there is regular interaction with parents, termly feedback sessions, and a written report annually
Why they need our serviceTo teach children with ASD social skills, self awareness, independence and the means to combat bullying and social isolation.
Plan and expected resultsMore confident and socially able children who feel less anxious, have greater social integration, a sense of their bodies in the space they occupy and a better capacity to deal better with social diffciulties such as anxiety-linked conflict at home and bullying at school.
