BCA Beacons Way Sponsored Walk
Organised by Neil Jones, BCA director
An 8 day sponsored walk through the stunning Brecon Beacons. You can help at the same time as having some wonderful days out. You can join for any number of these days.
As the walks are all linear we will usually meet at the end of the walk, share cars.
There are some walks which we will plan to start and end to fit with bus times so we don’t need to use cars and there may be people who offer to drop off and pick up walkers.
Day 1: 11th June: Skirrid to Llanthony (15km, 9.5m, 6 hours)
Shortened alternative for BCA members and others
Day 2: 15th June: Llanthony to Crickhowell (16km, 10m, 6 hours)
Day 3: 18th June: Crickhowell to Llangynidr (19km, 12m, 6 hours)
Short easy canal alternative for BCA members and others
Day 4: 21st June: Llangynidr to Storey Arms (23km, 14.5m, 8 hours)
Day 5: 3rd July: Storey Arms to Craig y Nos (23km, 14.5m, 7 hours
Day 6: 6th July: Craig y Nos to Llanddeusant (14km, 9m, 5 hours)
Day 7: 11th July: Llanddeusant to Carreg Cennen (20km, 12.5m, 6 hours)
Day 8: 13th July: Carreg Cennen to LLangadog (16km, 10m, 5hours)
You can contribute in three ways:
Making a general donation to those walking at BCA local giving page or the BCA office or sponsoring someone walking.
Joining as many days of the walk as you wish and asking for sponsors. We hope the walks will be as inclusive as possible. All we ask is that everyone self certifies their ability to do the walk.
