We are raising money again this year for Our Place, as it was where Marie chose to work as a Mentor for many children. She became an inspiration to the children she helped, and I know she would have wanted us to help Our Place again this year.
Our Place Community Hub sits in the heart of Sutton Coldfield offering advice and support to adults, & children alike. Currently it deals with over 700 people every week and provides one to one Mentoring sessions for children as young as 6 through to adults. Our Place offers them the time and space to talk/play, to consider strategies to bring about positive change in their lives, and to reflect on how they are progressing as each week passes.
Our Place Mentoring Scheme support people with what can be daily challenges such as confidence, stress and anxiety and also at crisis point for those that have experienced trauma including loosing a family member, being a victim of abuse or crime, or the break-up of a family.
