Members from UK Mail Ltd are proud to announce that we will be conquering the biggest mountain in the UK, that is Ben Nevis in Scotland. We will be completing the challenge to raise money for two chosen charities, taking place on Saturday 7th June 2014.
We have chosen to support John Taylor Hospice as one of our charities, and the other to the Birmingham Children's hospital, which you can donate to via JustGiving.com.
The reason the charity has been chosen, is because it is one that I hold close to my heart. John Taylor have cared for my Auntie who was diagnosed with cancer at 56 and passed away at JT shortly after. My grandmother battled strong until her 97th year (just before reaching 98) and passed away also under the care of JT. And finally, most tragically for me, was my mother who passed away at 53 years of age in Aug 2012 again to cancer, having only been diagnosed months before.
JT do some fantastic work caring for palliative patients who are terminally. The staff there are amazing, and my experiences there, although heart-breaking, were peaceful, tranquil and a home from home. Just the environment you would expect your loved ones to be in at the end of their lives. They rely heavily on donations to keep everything ticking over, so it’s important to me to raise as much money as possible to help support them for their future.
I hope you can all join me in giving your support by donating what you can. Thank you xx
