On 30th of July 2021, over a 24 hour period, I rowed 100km on a rowing machine to raise money for Home-Start Wokingham. I was supported, face to face and over zoom, by friends, family, and colleagues from all around the world. Thanks to the generosity of over 100 people, we raised an incredible £10,000 for Home-Start. It was truly humbling.
Home-Start is a charity that provides support in the community to disadvantaged and vulnerable young families. The money we raised last year helped over 50 families. Thank you to everyone who gave so generously.
This year, between midday on June 17th and 18th, I am going to try and increase the distance to 110km, and hopefully raise a bit more money too. The money will go towards setting up and running a new family group for isolated mums and their children. Thanks in advance for your support, no matter how large or small.
We will share the zoom link closer to the time for anyone who wants to log in and cheer us on.
