Twenty years ago we created a totally new kind of educational setting that supports young people in taking charge of their own learning. They decide for themselves what they learn and how they learn. We are now the well-established SML College– a charity with 56 young people aged 9-16 years. We desperately need funds to support these young people as most do not go to school for all sorts of reasons. And we get no state funding for this work.
I am going to do the 50k bike ride in my 80th year in order to get sponsorship money for our Hardship Fund. I plan to do the event in 2 hours 30 minutes – that is at 20K per hour. Please help me to achieve this and to raise the money we need just to support one student for one year, namely £3,550.
