The two smaller of our boats, Close Shave and Sheldrake 2 are now approaching their 30th anniversary of continuous service to the local community.  This bears witness to the tender loving care that volunteers have given them over the years, but the time has now come for some important refurbishment works. 
 
This refurbishment includes modernising the fully accessible shower and toilets, replacing leaky windows, installing a new heating system for Sheldrake 2, electric battery upgrades and lighting, improving seating, storage and sleeping arrangements used for our residential trips.
 
Both boats can take up to twelve passengers, they are fully accessible and our clients on day trips and our Enable Holiday youngsters are encouraged to participate as fully as possible regardless of their age or disability, whether that is steering the boat, operating the locks or just relaxing and enjoying the scenery.

The refurbishment will ensure the boats continue to provide a service to the local community and enhance the overall experience for our clients.
