I am running this year's Cardiff half Marathon to raise money for Tirion's Rainbow. I wasn't fortunate to get a place in the event initially, however I am now running in place of someone who had signed up to run for Tirion's Rainbow but unfortunately could no longer run due to an injury. You can follow my progress under the name Richard Nash.
Tirion's Rainbow is a community group who came together following the tragic death of Tirion Preddy in 2017. Tirion was 5yrs old and had always been a healthy and happy child, but in the weeks leading to her 5th birthday she began to fall a lot and her mobility deteriorated rapidly. Tirion was diagnosed with a tumour in her brain stem (a DIPG), which is incurable. Sadly Tirion passed away just 6 weeks after her diagnosis. The aim of Tirion's Rainbow is to redevelop Llangwm park (Pembs) in memory of our beautiful, strong, kind Tirion.
I would be grateful for any donation, no matter how small to help with the ongoing fundraising by Tirion's Rainbow to honour Tirion's memory.
I am one of several runners tomorrow who are proud to be running in Tirion's memory. If you'd like to follow our progress on the course tomorrow you can easily do so by downloading the tracker app:
