Catalyst is N-Gage's detached youth work programme,launched in October 2011. Catalyst offers a highly flexible and targeted approach towards anti-social behaviour, youth crime, disengagement and community disturbance. It is an early-intervention strategy that focuses on hard-to-reach young people by providing mobile youth services.

We are able to build up strong and stragic relationships with hard-to-reach young people by being present in their communities on a regular basis every week. Offering a range of activities and support we develop relationships of trust with those who come along to the bus, providing activities, guidance and helping them think about their behavior and supporting them in future choices.

We would expect an immediate reduction in anti-social behavior and youth nuisance where our teams operate. In the longer term we will see increased opportunities to support young people both on an individual level and as groups to engage with their communities, take part in new activities and develop their skills.
